Ellema Albert Neal
Ellema Albert Neal graduated from the Fielding Graduate University School of Education for Leadership and Change. She is President & Owner of Forerunner Coaching Advisory Group, LLC., a full-service coaching advisory consulting group dedicated to coaching excellence and coach-client relationship efficacy. She continues to study and develop an educational paradigm for conscious evolution that values equally the mental, somatic, and spiritual dimensions of human knowing.
Dr. Neal's dissertation research explored spiritual coaching as a method for personal evolution and how coaching might facilitate the social capacity for people to self-actualize. The project shifted when she realized that she was in an abusive coaching relationship. Initially, she produced a dissertation about her healing process and experiences in personal transcendence. Dr Neal realized that the benefits to coaching clients and the coaching industry would be better served by the sharing of her experiences in emotional abuse as a coaching client. She crystallized her focus and produced a final dissertation entitled, A FIRST-PERSON PHENOMENOLOGICALLY INFORMED CASE STUDY IN LIFE COACHING CLIENT ABUSE. This study is among the first to explore life-coaching client abuse from the client perspective.
Dr. Neal holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Leadership from Union Institute & University. She is a career IT professional, business analyst, and management consultant. She is a non-fiction writer and poet; was an online news journalist, and documentary film maker. She has held positions in local government, served as a community business developer, transformation change leader, and environmental event organizer. She leads health and wellness initiatives in the workplace.
